Searches
Main Text Box: type any word or number you want to “match” in the listing database. House number, street, city, county, state, zip code, property type and more. Remember always start small, and only add words if too many results are displayed.
Pull down menus: Only cities, counties and states where listings exist show up in the menu. This is to reduce frustration of “none found” searches.
Zip code: Search by zip codes and partial zip codes. For example if you type “323” you will return results for the counties of Gadsden, Leon, Jefferson, Taylor, Liberty and Madison in Florida. If you type “312” you will return results only Bibb County, Georgia.
Advance Search: This is the original BankBargains search box. It has pull down menus for: counties, price range, bed & baths, property type and more.
Content
Listings; For the most part, these are Bank owned properties. The information comes from the actual property owner or their agent. In most cases, the listings are maintained by the property owner. Ever effort is made to keep the information up to date and accurate, but not guaranteed.
Property Contact Information
Name, company, phone number and email of the person responsible for this property is displayed with each listing.
Email; this link generates an email with your computers mail program, inserting the address of the property in the subject line. The email is spelled out for printing or note taking.
Mapping
Map all search results on one page: Simple click on the map icon at the top of the page, and an interactive Google map will be generated for each listing. Roll your curser over the house icon and a listing summary will be displayed. Click on the icon and you will be linked to that listings detail page.
Map individual property: On the listing detail page you can choose from the two top mapping programs; Google and Bing. Both have features such as zoom, and aerial view.
No street numbers; Many times vacant lots will not have assigned street numbers until a building permit is issued. Both Google & Bing require street number to be able to map a property's location.
Reports
Hot sheet (print current listings); at the top of a search results page you can select “print current listings” and print a list of property address, a short description with, contact information, price, bedroom/bath, and size in square feet.
Flyer; on the detail listing page, you choose “download flyer”, it creates a pdf file with all property information. This can be printed or emailed.
Information Sharing
The site and specific properties can be emailed, shared or posted through several popular social media sites; Facebook, Twitter, etc.
